The Pink and Blue project is an ongoing effort by this SVA & SNU grad. While I don’t think that its meaning necessarily grows or gets better the more of these images you see, it’s still made a big impression on me. I like them because it reminds me of another Korean tradition–the first birthday celebration (third photograph here). All of this abundance, whether it be food or plastic toys, is meant to celebrate quite a few things–the ability to provide comes out on top for me. But I get chills when I think about what these photographs say about how much choice we have in what we buy.
