The video The B.C Corporate Story was much rawer than I expected after seeing their last show at Greene Naftali. I liked it–they meant it when they say they wanted to explore what fashion meant to different socioeconomic groups. I also saw part of other videos (Get Rid of Yourself and Hell Froze Over) that were much more interesting to me than looking at hyper-polished poems and fashion shoots.
It reminded me of this article, comparing their show with Anselm Reyle’s (who I was really into at the time). These days it seems like videos that leave things to be desired are winning my vote.
